Super Charged Part 2 "WHAT'S UP DOC?"


 

What’s up doc? says Bugs Bunny as he nibbles on a carrot. Bugs knows the benefits of carrots in the daily diet, do you?  Let’s dive into carrots, specifically the benefits of juicing and drinking carrot juice on a daily basis.

The simple fact is that carrot juice is packed with nutrients and other essential minerals like manganese, potassium, biotin, molybdenum, potassium, vitamins A, K, B1, B6, B2, C, and E, manganese, niacin, pantothenic acid, folate, phosphorus, and copper. Not to mention beta-carotene and alpha-carotene: carotenoids, both boost and maintain the immune system as well as activate carcinogen-metabolizing enzymes. Luteolin is a flavonoid phytochemical that shows antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effects in laboratory studies and anti-cancer effects. Falcarinol and other polyacetylenes are under study for possible anti-inflammatory and other protective effects

As you can see carrot juice has a ton of “good stuff”.  Let’s take a look at some of the benefits of drinking carrot juice daily.

Improves Immunity / Controls Heart Diseases /Reduces Cholesterol

Carrots have vitamin A and beta-carotene. By drinking a glass of carrot juice regularly you can boost your immunity. The vast amounts of vitamin A in carrot juice can prevent the onset of heart disease and strokes. Vitamin A also helps maintain the healthy lining of the internal organs which prevents infections. Carrot juice also has potassium which can reduce cholesterol levels, thus reducing the risk of heart disorders.


Wound Healing/Bone Health

The vitamin K in carrot juice helps in the clotting of blood. Did you also know that vitamin K is essential in the binding of calcium, which in turn leads to faster healing of broken bones? Carrot juice also speeds up healing of cuts and scrapes due to the vitamin C.

Carrot juice has lots of vitamin B complex.  This is important because B complex is used in breaking down glucose, fat, and proteins that we eat. B complex is also vital in building muscle and increasing metabolism by burning fat. Furthermore, vitamin B complex also helps to reduce stress and depression. The phosphorus in carrot juice boosts the body’s metabolic rate and decreases pain after a workout. The iron in carrot juice not only increases the oxygen carrying capacity of the body but also the iron ensures proper oxygen supply to our brain, leading to mental alertness and less fatigue and stronger workouts. Better workouts, better weight control.

Carrot juice has properties that prevents and relieves gas stored inside your stomach and  intestines.

It decreases skin cell degeneration and improves collagen consumption. This firms the skin as well as increases the density of your nails. We have already discussed the detoxifying properties of carrot juice. By detoxing your body with carrot juice, it will help remove toxins from your skin that create acne. Carrot juice has the ability to lower oxidative stress in the brain from carrot juice improves memory.


Reduce the Risk of Cancer

The beta-carotene in the carrot recommended by specialists in the prevention of certain cancers. Regular intake of carrots helps to lower the risk of lung, colorectal and prostate cancers because of the reduction of oxidative stress in the cells. Carrot juice also acts like an anti-cancer agent. The increased intake of carotenoids in carrot juice has been said to decrease instances of bladder, prostate, colon and breast cancers.


Combined with the celery juice in the "Super Charged Supper Juice" carrots, thats "What's Up"!
